Meet Lethbridge Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. Johnson

Born and raised in Southern Alberta, Ryan Johnson, DMD received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University before studying dentistry at Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr. Johnson excelled at Temple, one of the oldest dental schools in North America, which has some of the highest requirements for hands-on experience in the United States and Canada.

He met the requirements of both the US National Dental Board Examinations as well as the Canadian Western Regional Examining Board— the clinical (live patient) portion of which his final restoration was photographed by the examiners for future educational use.

Upon graduation, Dr. Johnson returned to Alberta and enjoyed three years of practicing dentistry at Today’s Dental in Lethbridge. However, the opportunity to have his own practice and the draw of living closer to family and friends brought him back to Lethbridge in Southern Alberta in 2009. 

A Visionary

Ryan Johnson, DMD is an artist and considers himself a true cosmetic dentist. He finds personal satisfaction in all the elements of his work—from shaping the smallest fillings to complete smile designs. He believes that a dentist’s integrity is reflected particularly in the work no one sees. In fact, his passion for detail led to a hobby in designing and crafting jewelry, often using common materials for dentistry.

He also considers it his responsibility as a Lethbridge cosmetic dentist to stay current with the rapidly changing science and materials of dentistry, and he invests a great deal of time and money each year to the continuing education of himself and his team.

He is particularly good with children, and is dedicated to providing positive experiences for them in our office. His vision is to establish a true family practice, where patients can rely on a long-term relationship of trust and excellent care.
